On Thanksgiving night it is our tradition to put up the Christmas tree and begin decorating the house. We listen to carols and drink hot chocolate once the tree is decorated. This year we are living in a new house, so the kids were so excited to see how the tree would look!

Ricky has been battling sinus issues, so he was not feeling well at all!!!!!! He did a little, but then sat in the glow of the tree and watched! I felt so sorry for him!

The tree is finished and now the wait for Christmas officially begins!!!!!

I am suddenly feeling very sorry for myself. It was always our tradition to do this the day AFTER Thanksgiving. My kids are very worried right now that we won't have our Christmas tree up in our own house. And I'm starting to wonder that myself. Maybe, if we can just GET back into our house, we can have a party of friends come over and just decorate with everything we have out in storage. Whether we have our furniture yet or not.
What a good mom... capturing everything on film... I didn't do so good at that this year. Tree's up but with no pic of the process. Your tree (and the kiddo's) look great!
Awesome! Your tree looks great. Our tradition is to usually wait until my birthday is over (12/3) & then we try to fit it in the next weekend we have free. Since we use a real tree, ours isn't going up much before the 13th. But we'll do some other decorating before then.
Thank you so much for sharing this family tradition with us! We usually do it either Thanksgivin on friday after but this year with travel and bobby's work it is not up yet :( We are trying for TONIGHT! we shall see :) Kids look so sweet :)
