Renovation Day 30...Feels Like Day 1,000

What was accomplished on our renovation today:

• Final measurement for the granite counter tops. They will be installed next week! YAY!
• Painters painted in closets in garage, where the plumbers had cut holes, and they painted on the girl's bathroom.
• Got most of the Christmas stuff taken down and put away, so the painters can work with ease tomorrow.
• Electrician put in light box for boy's bathroom light.
• Cabinet builder checked on and reconfirmed his starting to install the new cabinets by Wednesday.

Doesn't seem like a lot, but we have been hurrying so we can wait on others to do their jobs. The holidays set us back some, but we are still on track. They are still saying they will be through by Jan. 15. I am praying that they are right!

We are having to move out of the house for a few days starting tomorrow. The painters will be scraping the ceilings in the kitchen and sun room and there will be more dust than Ricky's allergies can handle. My mom is looking forward to us being there, but we are all feeling like "blah" about being gone again. Toby will still be here, which is another reason for me not liking the idea of being gone.

We did morning school today, but there were so many interruptions we just didn't get back to it after lunch. Guess we will be working part of the summer again! At least we will be able to work on school at mom's, even though it will not be quite the same. Kids have a much harder time concentrating when not in their usual environment!
