SCREAMING FOR ICE CREAM

Kensli has a new obsession......ice cream! In the past she was never fond of anything cold, even milk! Then we introduced her to T*BY and the rest is history! She asks her daddy daily for a kiddie cup of "shorebret", and usually he makes sure she is not disappointed! The other day she discovered chocolate and decided that she liked this flavor, too!

Can you tell?

THE GREAT CAT RESCUE

Our cat is CRAZY! She will get up in a tree and can't or won't come down by herself! On Saturday that is exactly what happened. The dog chased her up the tree and she stayed there ALL day! She would cry and beg for us to get her down, but would not come down by herself. We coaxed her every way we knew how, but nothing seemed to work! In the end, it took Kaitlyn and Toby's Great Climbing Act to get the cat out of the tree!

KAITLYN'S RESCUE ATTEMPT
When Kaitlyn heard us talking about getting the cat down, she was very quick to volunteer! She was so happy to be climbing up in the tree, that I really began to question her motives! :)

Her grin for ear to ear, shows how proud she was to be up in that tree!

We soon realized that she was not tall enough to reach Ellie!

TOBY'S RESCUE ATTEMPT

Once Toby got up the tree (I failed to get pictures of the assent, because I was holding the ladder), he could just reach her!

Her ears tell how she feels about being rescued!
How ungrateful can a cat be?
VERY!!!!!!!!!

Easter Happenings

I was so unprepared for Easter this year! I did manage to buy the "perfect" outfits, but somehow I just couldn't get the baskets together! The fast threw me off, I guess! After it was all over, they didn't miss any of the CANDY!!!!!!!! Seems like at Easter, candy just magically appears!!!!!

We went to my parents for Easter Sunday service! They were having an Easter drama and both my parents were in the performance. This is the 1st play of any kind that I can remember my parents being a part of since I was around 10 or 11. The kids were impressed that they were watching their grandparents in something, instead of the other way around! :) I failed to get any pictures though! :( Another one of those unprepared moments!

The church did have an egg hunt after service for the all the kids. My 3 youngest really enjoyed themselves. Ricky did not participate, because according to him he is just too old for that sort of thing!

After lunch with my parents and grandmother, we went to see Toby's family! Toby's mom had baked cup cakes and cookies! It was so sweet and thoughtful! Toby's oldest sister, brother-in-law, nephew, his wife, and great nephew were all there and we had a great visit.

The kids were so tired when we got home that night, they went straight to bed and slept late the next morning!

Ricky ready for Easter and tolerating the camera!

My little egg hunters!

All dressed up!

A Trip to the Dr. and Some VERY GOOD NEWS

Ricky has VERY bad allergies! They have always been bad, but this year he has a rougher time than usual! He has had to take two rounds of antibiotics for sinus infections since February! About a month ago, Ricky came to me and told me that he had found some knots on his neck! I checked and sure enough, they were quite large and sore! I took him to the Dr. M. and he checked him out thoroughly and put him on his second round of antibiotics. Dr. M. said that he wanted to see him again in 3 weeks to see if they had changed in any way. Depending on what they looked like on the follow up visit would determine if more testing would be needed. I was concerned, but tried to put the possibilities of different outcomes out of my mind. During our fast, I prayed for him several times and had the Spanish ministry pray for him. A few days ago he told me that he could feel more knots now. He has been really fatigued this past week, too, which caused me to be really concerned. Sunday morning I had him prayed for again and felt peace about the visit this week. Today, we had our doctor visit and Dr. M. couldn't feel any knots. Thank the Lord!!!!!! What huge relief on Ricky's part! I am so glad we know a healing God!!!! The doctor did leave him on allergy medicine for the rest of the spring, but that is fine! God can totally take care of the allergies, too.

Once Upon a Time and Pink Nail Polish

Once upon a time there was a little girl that loved all things girly! She loved, loved, loved everything that belonged to her big sister!!!!

One day her mother found her in the sun room with her big sisters nail polish! Her mother inquired if she had obtained permission from her big sister and she replied, "She said I could all by myself!" Without further hesitation the mother grabbed her camera and took some precious shots!

The little girl knew just how to dip the brush in the polish!

Dip brush, dip brush, dip brush, dip brush,
check amount on brush, and
REPEAT!!!!!!!

Apply liberally to each nail!

Her patience was amazing as she applied the polish!
Getting that last nail covered just right took a lot of work!

After she was through, she blew each nail until it was dried to her satisfaction and off she went feeling beautiful!!!!!

THE END

Life as NORMAL as IT Can BE

The 21 days of fasting was over for us last night, and life is slowly returning to normal in the food and clothes department! NORMAL, is there such a thing? Not sure, because I haven't ever figured out what is NORMAL!!!!!! :) Here is a picture of how our NORMAL looks............

Loving NORMAL!!!!
To help us celebrate our "NORMAL" status, some friends dropped some chocolate chip cookies and brownies by the house this morning! The kids were bouncing for most of the day! When you go from very little sugar for 21 days and then several cookies, talk about a sugar rush! The nice part about it was they all crashed for a couple of hours this afternoon! Naps for everyone was nice, because is gave me some quite "me" time!!!!!

This weekend was busy as usual! Nicholas had a t-ball tournament on Saturday! He is really having a hard time staying focused on the game! It is so much more fun to wrestle and knock other little boy's hats off their heads! When you know what your child is capable of, it is hard to step back and let him progress at his on rate! He is so athletic, yet could care less if he plays or sits in outfield and picks flowers!

Spring is TRULY here! The reason I know is because we had a little visitor that came out of hiding this weekend to meet an untimely death! Sorry, I am not a snake rights activist! The only activity you will see out of me concerning a snake is looking for a hoe or shovel! When I found him he was by the pool and ended up getting in the pool before I could find the shovel! The kids had been outside all around the area barefoot just minute before! I am so thankful none of them stepped on him!!!!!!! I did get a picture of our visitor, while dodging a bat that was feeding at our pool! We have studied bats and I really like the thought of them eating so many bugs, but I do believe they need their space!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he is a ground rattler!! Boy, could he swim!!!!
