With adoptions there is always something else to do! We had never applied for Nicholas' American passport and now we could apply for Kensli's so we headed to the post office to apply for both! Took us a couple of hours to get just the application part done and sent off! I can say that the woman in charge of the applications is very slow but careful! We paid the extra money to expedite both passports but the woman wasn't sure that Kensli's would be issued because we did not have her birth certificate. We did have her Certificate of Citizenship and Chinese adoption decree. Would you belive that hers went through without a problem; it was Nicholas' that did not! We had to send furthur documentation concerning his adoption before they would process the application. We have now gotten both so we can prove that we are legal citizens of the USA!
Now to work on Kaitlyn's and Nicholas' Certificates of Citizenship! I wonder if adoption paperwork is ever over!
